Just saying these last updates have given us a lot of grief. Never had to reboot a Linux server before after updates. We still have one server down today where mySQL won’t start. ERROR 2002, can’t connect to local mySQL server through socket. The only conclusion I can draw is that the updates are playing havoc on our servers.
We don’t ship MySQL packages, so I don’t think that’s caused by any updates we’ve done.
But, if you post the relevant logs when you try to restart, we can probably help you sort out the problem.
