Manually edited DNS entries do not cause a push to slave DNS

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Debian Linux 11
Webmin version 2.202
Virtualmin version 7.30.4.pro-1
Webserver version irrelevant
Bind version BIND 9.16.50-Debian (Extended Support Version) id:acf2ba4
Related packages SUGGESTED

Editing a DNS entry in Virtualmin immediately pushes the changes to the slave DNS server. But when I use the “Manual Edit” editor and save changes there, they are no longer submitted. Instead I have to push changes via rndc. This worked fine in the past.

I just tested on my Debian 11 system and I see the same result - the manually edited records are not immediately submitted to the slave.

Editing manually looks to be the same interface either from the Webmin or Virtualmin interface? Just trying to help define the problem here. Virtualmin and Webmin kinda get used interchangeably.

It seems to be the very same UI yes. And that’s most probably why it’s not working. It’s not a Virtualmin but a Webmin module. The functionality stopped working for us about 1 year ago. We recently installed the newest Virtualmin version and I hoped that the bug was fixed but unfortunately, it’s not and I did not find any posting about this in the Virtualmin Forum.
