Also, you may want to look in your email logs for any errors… your email logs are located in /var/log/mail.log and /var/log/maillog.

what kind of error I need to search?

I see and not have evident error that causes this?

I don’t know what error you’d be looking for – you’d just be looking in the logs at the time you connected to see what exactly is happening.

The remote domains have the real IPs only the domain was changed…

I don’t know if the problem is caused by my server or are my IP range…

tks so much for any help

Howdy,

Take a peek at the problem here, that sounds like what you’re seeing… do any of the answers provided sound plausible:

http://serverfault.com/questions/297498/postfix-lost-connection-with-somehost-while-receiving-the-initial-server-gree

It sounds like, for that fellow, that the issue was because they had either an ISP or firewall that was blocking connections to port 25 on remote servers.

Could that be the case here? Does your ISP allow traffic to port 25 on remote systems?

Hi tks for your response, I cant send mails to other domains… I have this problem only with 5 or 6 domains…

I am thinking is use one smarthost, but I have a question about this? can I use smarthost for only certain destination domains and send the rest of email directly? and in the smarthost (too with virtualmin installed) how to forward bounce emails to the original server? could you give me a guide to do this? if is possible?

Hi guys I still having this issue with some domains, do you have some ideas?
