Created a new virtual server (sandbox.myserver.org)(this is one of ten v servers and it does share the same domain as another server (myserver.org) - but when I try to log in to virtualmin at sandbox.myserver.org:10000 with the sandbox account it says login failed. Ive double checked the password which I set at the edit virtualserver but still no go.
Cant do an upgrade now unfortunately. Usermin access is fine however but I need to give my user access to error logs. Anyway to allow that from Usermin?
It seemed to only be an issue with the new site created “sandbox”. All the other sites that were created had no problem logging in to virtualmin - even created a new one and it worked so I imagine something corrupted in that particular configuration.
No - it shared domain name as my primary domain BUT was a top-level vserver - I have other vservers that share the same domain name as well that are fine. With regards to logging in with IP I can log in yes but not with “sandbox” I can log in with root and my 9 other vservers
I assume that DNS is correct? and there is at least a A record for the sandbox.myserver.org as well as myserver.org Sorry this one is not making any sense to me. I would have set it up as a Virtualmin “Sub-domain of - - -” and not as a primary domain.
