Log on Roundcube with the username only

Hi guys,
On my server I had to reinstall Roundcube, and I’m having trouble configuring it so that entering just the username (e.g., “username”) is sufficient, rather than the full username and domain (e.g., “username.domain.com”).

I was able to achieve this with the previous installation, but I can’t recall the exact steps I took.

I’ve searched online and on this forum, but haven’t had any success.

In the configuration file, I found $config[‘username_domain’], but when I enter the domain name, it generates the username as “username@domain.com” instead of “username.domain.com”.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

Cheers.

use the @ sign. in the mail logs of the server what error do you see

What happens when you have 2 or more users with the same name in different domains?

How will the underlying system know which one you refer to?

I believe there is a plugin or config option that makes Roundcube append the domain you’ve used to connect to it to the user name, in the same way Usermin can do. I don’t use Roundcube, so I don’t know for sure, but I seem to recall that’s the case. (Usermin does this by default in a Virtualmin system.)
