So i have apache SSL enabled for a server and i have requested a lets encrypt cert, and it shows that is being used, but the site for the server is not showing secure. Any ideas? DNS is through cloud flare, pointed correctly, i can get to the site from outside the LAN
Do you have the Cloudflare proxy enabled?
If so, getting the cert won’t work.
oh dang i do, should i not proxy the records in cloud flare? i recently started using them for DNS and domain registration.
You can keep using the proxy, but not for the hostnames/subdomains you want to install a let’s encrypt for.
Like mail.* can’t be proxies and so on.
