Issues with backup process

I worked around this but…

system with over 250 sites… the / disk “was” 50G but now down to 10G…
Doing backups the server filled up the drive / SLAP FULL / “no space left on device”…
/tmp/.webmin/ was full…

Can we figure a way to get it to do one site at a time? I found a folder with every site it was trying to backup was in a tar file waiting for something… You can not put all /home in /tmp …

I did from 20 to 50 sites at a time to get the backup’ to run… !!!

Just FYI. …
Thanks
Don

Unless I’m mistaken, that’s how it actually works.

Also note that you can change Webmin’s temporary directory (for example to put it on another partition such as /home) over there: Webmin > Webmin Configuration > Advanced Options > Temporary files directory

Well, when I was backup up to AWS it did fill up the /tmp/.webmin
I don’t know how it should work, just know what it didi…

it seems to work differently if you are just going to an FTP or SSH location…

But … This moving the backup location should help…

Thanks

@DonPeek use rsync - and bash… simple solution but no issues
