I read somewhere that MySQL 8 wasn’t supported due to password problems but it seems that now it is supported?

what os you running virtualmin on?
As far as I know, there are no known issues with MySQL 8. But, report problems if you find them.

I have since installed MySQL 8 and everything is good so far.
