Install SSL custom (self-signed) certificate for Virtualmin

Operating system: debian
OS version:10

hi guys, I would like to know if there is any way I can secure virtualmin/webmin login page on port 10000 with my own ssl client certificate. I know how to deploy that and set it up for normal domains… however I need to be sure that if I set this up to webmin/virtualmin the login page will be using my own cert on any domain : port 10000 before I deploy my new hardware… so I can open that port on my fw again.

Example:

domain.uk:10000 use my own ssl certificate = working as expected
domain-2.co.uk use lets encrypt ssl certificate

when accessing domain-2.co.uk:10000 will that path be using
lets encrypt ssl certificate or it will use my own ssl certificate?

Thank you!

Hello,

Yes, it is all possible using Webmin ⇾ Webmin Configuration: SSL Encryption / Upload Certificate page.

As an aside, it sounds like you’re wanting to use the domain.uk cert for requests on domain-2.uk, which will result in security errors in the browser.

thank you all…

nope joe, i just wanted to block anything towards port 1000… it works as ilia said…
