How to Set IP Addresses

Hi,

I am trying to hook up a virtualmin box. I’m behind a firewall.

I can statically set the IP information from the CentOS network control panel. I put in

IP 192.168.0.56
subnet 255.255.255.0
default gateway 192.168.0.1

and the primary and secondary ns info from our provider.

This DOES let me surf the internet and I Could, for instance, download and run install.sh.

But I want the web site to have an ip address of 65.100.xxx.xxx

How is that done?

Thanks

Howdy,

You’ll want to play around a bit in the System Settings -> Module Config -> Network Configuration area.

The Virtual Servers you’re hosting will need to use your internal IP address, but you’ll want DNS to use the external IP address. You’ll be able to configure all that within the Network Configuration screen.

Yeah, you’d just want to enter “65.180.xxx.2” into the “Default IP address for DNS records” option in the Module Config.
