How or Easier Way to convert a sub-server to an alias server

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Ubuntu Linux 22.04.5

Virtualmin version 7.20.2
Theme version 21.20.7
Nginx version 1.18.0

I have a client who has a couple of “spare” registered domains who wishes to keep them “maintained” and “owned” along with the principal “production” domain/VS.

They are currently active as top-level servers and sub-servers.

I have just moved one of them by Disabling then Recreating it as an alias via Create Virtual Server which seems (so far) to have worked.

The question: Is there a simpler way to do this (without having to reapply for certs, new passwords, etc)?

Because a sub-server can have a website and databases, etc., it cannot be automatically converted to an alias (which cannot have its own website and databases, etc.). Deleting the sub-server and creating an alias is the right way to get there.

Thanks. I was just looking or an easy life.
Doing it the hard way seems to have solved it for now (I have kept a backup
just to be on the safe side so should be ok to reverse the change)
