How may I remove Postgres ?

Hi,
I want to remove the postgressql db server, I do not use it and for now, I do not want to use it so I wanted to remove it, BUT -there is always a but- when I type :
apt-get remove --purge postgresql I have that kind of result :
The following packages will be REMOVED :
postgresql virtualmin-base

I don’t want to remove the virtualmin-base of course !
Is there is a way to bypass that ?

Hi Marc,

Yeah, Postgres is setup as a dependency of the Virtualmin package.

So, it wouldn’t be simple to remove it entirely, though you can certainly disable the process and not have it run on your server.

I already stopped the process :wink:
I’ll keep Postgres, mmaybe it will be usefull one day !!
