How do I copy ttf fonts to my server?

Hi,

This is probably very basic but I can not seem to get true type fonts
onto my server :frowning:

A script I have needs access to Arial fonts and to make things easy I was
going to simply copy Arial.ttf and Arial_Black.ttf from my C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\
on my pc and use Filezilla to put them in the virtual server web directory.

When I navigate to the C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\ directory I do not have the
option to copy - the files all seem to have an attribute A.
Does this forbid the copying ?

Do I need to change the attributes ?
How?

Next I went to my server to see if I could find Arial.ttf font.

In my /usr/share/fonts/default/Type1 directory I have these files names -

a010013l.afm
a010013l.pfb

Are these font files?

I also have the directory /usr/share/fonts/bitstream-vera

with these files in -
Vera.ttf
VeraBd.ttf
VeraBI.ttf
etc etc.

Thanks for any help on this.
