Hide FTP folders

If i understand the files, then Virtualmin team made thier own conf file with settings…virtualmin.conf in /etc/proftpd/conf.d

But in that, there is nothing under default root

DefaultRoot ~

There certainly is. ~ has meaning. (It means “the users home directory”.)

That’s not the problem we’re having here. The problem we’re having is that the virtualmin.conf isn’t being loaded (I’m pretty confident of that).

I see other examples that have the directory with a trailing /. Try adding that and restarting the proftpd service.

I mean change this line to look like this:

Include /etc/proftpd/conf.d/

I don’t think that’s necessary and this code hasn’t changed in several years, so I don’t know why it’d suddenly not work. But, worth a try, since I can’t find any other problems, and you’re telling me there are no errors.

Yea, until today, i have never even looked at these files. And i have installed Virtualmin on a few different servers since i was first introduced to it earlier this year.
