Hi, on virtualmin version 6.17-3
I can simulate what server owner view by going to virtual server owner access from virtualmin > Administration Options > Switch to Server’s Admin.
How to go back to root access after that without logging out?

What I’ve always done is right click it and hit “Open link in a new tab”. That way when I’m done checking it out I just close that tab and my root tab is still open.
You can’t. You’ve become the less-privileged user, which can’t escalate to root for obvious security reasons.
Is it possible to make “open in new tab” a default behaviour like the most popular web hosting control panel do?
