Fatal Error! Failed to migrate virtual server : setquota

Hi all,
I am trying to make a migration from WHM to Virtualmin, the professional one.
I am facing some problem with the bigger websites (9-13 GB of files).
The main problem is in this error:
Fatal Error! Failed to migrate virtual server : setquota: Trying to set quota limits out of range supported by quota format on /dev/sda3. setquota: Cannot write quota for 1012 on /dev/sda3: Numerical result out of range

How can I bypass this?
Almalinux 8.x

Under Webmin > System > Disk Quotas you can disable quotas. That might help here.

Then try resetting them?

Plus, let’s get terms right. Is your current system just WHM or WHM/Virtualmin?

EDIT: Does your default template have a quota size? Not sure if this should matter if you are using the migration tool.

@ID10T thank you for your answer, I’ve disabled the quotas after some investigation.
The files were too big so Ive created a directory placed the backups (made from WHM system) into that directory on Virtualmin VPS and tried a restoration. With smaller websites everything went smoothly up to 6GB I guess. I have 2 separate systems, WHM in production and Virtualmin in pending as I want to be secure that all the websites will work perfectly after migration. I am using the tools of Virtualmin, Add Server>>>migrate virtual server giving the correct path to get the tar backup and create a new space. I did with smaller sites and they are perfect now.

Ah. I misread that. Brain slip. I was seeing WHM and thinking Webmin for some reason so the migration tool didn’t make sense.

So, the problem is in the migration tool somewhere. I thought all Linux systems used the same quota parameters. Do you know the OS and version WHM is on? I’m not sure if this is for something @illia should look at?

AlmaLinux v8.9.0 STANDARD kvm

cPanel Version [114.0.12]

Same Almalinux on Virtualmin.

Hi,
In this period I’ve reinstalled Virtualmin with Almalinux 9, as by default it has a version required from all WP insstallation, and before the 29th of November I would dismiss the old installed WHM VPS so I can save about the 50% of money. Unfortunately the main site, the one that pushed me to get a VPS dedicated, is giving me lots of problems, this is the 3rd day that I try to migrate the server, using almost all the tools available. Eventually the error is always there, as on the screenshot attached. First I’ve tried disabling quotas, then I’ve enabled them putting the limit to no limits. Nothing seems to work. Can you please help me? I’ve uploaded a copy of the backup on the server where Virtualmin is installed. Nothing to do.

Is there a way to open a ticket, assist. staff or closer? I am in troubles with the quota problem.

Buy a Pro license to match your server and then you can submit a ticket I believe. I do not know what they will cover for that as I am on the free version.

I already got the pro license. But then, I’ve seen that the assistance offered is here. I guess…

it says private ticket support

click the arrowed link in the screen shot

And here

Thank you all. Submitted a ticket. Really thank you for advise.

Solved by myself, simply trying to detect in the backup WHM log the paths not totally solved. After 3 days of headache I’ve solved. Meanwhile, WHM was hacked heavy. Just in time.
