I have a large forum up and running at a VPS in virtualmin. I would like to create a local Virtualmin server at home so I can test my backups. I’m not a linux guru so looking for a semi-easy way to do this. I’ve done some googling but not having much look finding good advice, so thought I’d ask at the source.
My suggestion there would be to install VirtualBox on your desktop at home… you can install Linux and Virtualmin within VirtualBox, which would allow you to use that as a test server.
I use Proxmox/OpenVZ, so I made a template with Virtualmin on CentOS 6. It allows me to get a system up and running in a few minutes minutes, versus 30 minutes configuring and installing everything.
