DNS servers issues

Hi,
i am getting a couple of issues with DNS server.

When I create or delete a virtual server, the process hangs at “Re-starting DNS server” and stopped.

Also when I add or edit DNS records, it keeps working/loading (evident from browser loader icon) but do nothing. I have to go to DNS records to confirm whether its added/edited or not. (usually its added/edited)

Same happens when I restart BIND DNS Server from “Status Menu”

Operating system CentOS Linux 6.7
Webmin version 1.780
Virtualmin version 4.18.gpl

Howdy,

What if you restart BIND from the command line, does that work as expected?

Also, do you see any errors in the logs, such as /var/log/messages?

its taking a couple of seconds to restart bind server from the command line .
couldn’t figure out any logs/errors in /var/log/messages…

Can you restart BIND from the command line, and then share the resulting log entries that occur in /var/log/messages?

Also, what is the output of this command:

rpm -qa | grep named
