I recently installed Virtualmin on my VPS. I have created an A record in Namecheap DNS system that points to my VPS IP because I plan to use BIND for all virtual servers. Should I add more records to Namecheap DNS? Something like mx records? Is it required to set any A records for the ns.mydoain.com addresses?

You’d better indicate installed versions of your OS and Virtualmin to get better help.
Assuming that you have a fresh intallation of linux, correct entries in /etc/hostname, and /etc/sysconfig/network must take care of most of the job automatically.
System is CentOS7 and the last version of Virtualmin
