Hi,
I have several server with Webmin/Virtualmin GPL installed.
In all installations except for one, there is an “Email Settings / DomainKey identified mail” configuration panel for the virtual servers.
I can’t find why, on this particular DEBIAN 12 server, there is no “Email Settings / DomainKey identified mail” panel.
I’ve compared the settings between another DEBIAN 12 server and this one, and I can’t find any differences.
Clutching at straws goes with the obvious, you are logged in with a full permission account? Doesn’t seem like this would be a configurable option but I wouldn’t know where to start looking for that one.
are they all from the same provider - like you I have several VM with Debian 12 OS but from different providers (countries) they are unsurprisingly not all exactly the same. Having checked them all they do all have the Email Settings -> DomainKeys Identified Mail so it is just a thought. Or perhaps the exception has gone through an OS upgrade?
there must be some difference - really a case of finding it
if the upgrade came via the provider they may have introduced some extra code (y’know just like some come with Virtualmin pre installed) - it is bad enough that they prevent email without demanding lots of other hoops to jump through.
@ ID10T good try, but no, the direct link doesn’t open the dkim panel.
@ Stegan all my VPS are from the same provider but without cpanel.
I choose the OS, install Webmin/Virtualmin and update the systems myself.
I have 3 servers with Almalinux8 and 2 servers with Debian12.
The DKIM panel is there for all the servers except for one of the Debian’s.
Open DKIM is installed and running… but no panel!
hmm I wonder “without cpanel” implies that it might have originally had cpanel or some sort of a alteration to the image prior to installing Virtualmin but does not explain why some Debian seem OK
@jimr1 yes all these files are there:
/usr/share/webmin/virtual-server/dkim-lib.pl
/usr/share/webmin/virtual-server/dkim.cgi
/usr/share/webmin/virtual-server/edit_domdkim.cgi
/usr/share/webmin/virtual-server/enable_dkim.cgi
/usr/share/webmin/virtual-server/install_dkim.cgi
/usr/share/webmin/virtual-server/save_domdkim.cgi
@Stegan no cpanel at all and the same image has been used for the two Debian servers
