Created remote access for one DB but shows all DBs on server

Hi,
I created a remote user for a specific DB as follows:

    1. "Mysql Database Server" -> "User Permissions" -> Hosts with the source IP (67.xx.xx.xx)
    2. "Mysql Database Server" -> "Database Permissions" -> same user as above (1)

When I connect using MySQL WorkBench from the remote machine, I see all the databases on the server. What gives? Am I missing some security settings?

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi - are you connecting to remote db as root user? or just as a db user?

Sorry I should have been clearer on that. It’s a DB user created via “Mysql Database Server” -> “User Permissions” -> “Create New User”

Under “Mysql Database Server” -> “Database Permissions”, this specific user has access only to the desired database. The database name is entered verbatim with no wild card.

I’m on Centos 6.6 with Mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.43 just in case it matters.
