That’s irrelevant. chroot jails are not enabled by default for virtual server users.
Ok - I was only responding to ID10T’s comment!
Any thoughts on the core issue?
What execution mode are you using? Try switching between execution modes (and end up on PHP-FPM, because it’s the right choice for pretty much everyone).
Also, do a configuration check. Make sure there are no errors about your preferred PHP version, and make sure it has the necessary stuff for PHP-FPM execution mode.
PHP-FPM - I assume that was the default on installation, as I haven’t changed it!
Configuration show no major errors (SSL only)
“make sure it has the necessary stuff for PHP-FPM execution mode”
Any pointers on this?
If you do the config check, and it lists PHP-FPM as an available execution mode for your preferred PHP version, you have what you need.
It’s also come up several times lately that folks expect a chroot jailed user to Just Work, but that’s not a good expectation to have. chroot jails are severely limited, and need to be configured appropriately for your application and use case (and you should spend some time reading about jails before using them). So, is this user in a chroot jail?
Joe,
I have never touched any setting for chroot Jail - its as it was out of the box!
Thinking back, probably the only main thing I have done is added php 8.3
