Cloudmin continuance

jsut the basic having cloudmin manage the mahcines..i like it..i am slowly learning more about how it can help me in other ways.
Question? does cloudmin manage bsd as wlel or only linux? if only linux that will add another project to my new project…

Manage BSD in what way? You can put any OS you want in the VMs. But, the host OS needs to be Linux, as only Linux has KVM (which will soon be the only supported virtualization type).

i can manage most functions with cloudmin. i hit the indivual weeminhs when i need to track php-fpm things or directly eidt config files…but so far i like cloudmin… you answered my seconde part with the linux only supported…that’s all i need there..

You can connect Cloudmin to Virtualmin on FreeBSD systems, as well. And, you can run Webmin on just about any UNIX. So, yeah, managing other machines with Cloudmin isn’t Linux specific. But, there is no reasonable way to install on FreeBSD, and we’re moving to KVM exclusively for the virtual machine functionality, and that isn’t available on FreeBSD.

nods understood on that…i am not intending on using bsd as hosts though..at least not yet..though tha tmight change. would you be opposed to me seeing if i could redo the gui in virtualmin under freebsd as a thought project? i ahve started a clean sheet of my own but i relaly do like the interface of virtualmin..i jsut do not want to cross qany legal lines…i am learning about bhvye myself…
