Cloudmin 6.0 released

Cloudmin version 6.0 is now available for download from our YUM and APT repositories. Existing users should see a message on the Cloudmin Information page after logging in, prompting to upgrade to the new release.

This update contains several new features, including :

  • Added the set-replication API command, to switch to standalone, replica or master mode.
  • EC2 instances and security groups can now be created in VPC (virtual private cloud) subnets, if your account has any defined. The structure of security groups has also been changed slightly to match Amazon’s latest API, and support groups within VPCs.
  • Systems to backup can now be selected by group, owner or virtualization type, as wells as by hostname.
  • Additional directories for virtual system disk images can now be defined, and one selected when creating, cloning or moving a system. Access to directories can be limited by system owner plan, virtualization type and host system.

It also fixes several minor bugs found since the last release, particularly in the area of moving and cloning virtual systems. As always, please report any problems you find in this new version via the issue tracker.
