Popping this on here as it may help someone else who cant SSH terminal login as root on Virtualmin
I’ve noticed. Changing root password in webmin (password set in Edit Webmin User) didn’t change the Debian system root password for ssh terminal access.
Is this a standard result?
To update Debian system root password for ssh you have to login via terminal using the password you originally put in at install then:
passwd root
As standard to change.
