Change username for a Domain setup

my dedicated server has an outdated OS and I am moving domains to a new server. I did a Backup and Restore but the username conflicted on the new server.

the problem I have is that the username, home directory and suffix group conflicts with a domain on the newer server

basically I have two domains of the format football.com and football.online
and I chose to use the same username.

I tried to Change Domain name with new domain-name, username, home directory and suffix group (as I thought changing this would then allow the restore to work)

but I get the error:

Failed to change domain name : Missing file to read at virtual_server::/usr/libexec/webmin/virtual-server/feature-dns.pl line 3482

I’m not sure how best to overcome this issue,
any advice

thanks Brian

thanks for the link, I’ll check it out.
I didn’t see it when searching.

yea the main problem is the OS is out of date, but I couldn’t do anything while the season was ongoing, so I have an opportunity to fix now

cheers

having slept on it.
simple solution for this domain is to manually create, transfer the files and database and I’ll be setup. the old OS may cause issues, so lets bypass that and get job done simply ;o)
that way I can define the new username.
