Cant enable Email feature for server after disabling it

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Ubuntu Linux 22.04.5
Virtualmin version 7.20.2 Pro

So i was trying to troubleshoot some things for my email not working. I went to “Edit Virtual Server” and unchecked the feature for email. Results were as expected. But then i went to go check the box to enable it again and now the option is not there to enable it.

Thats not normal, try recheck config and its enabled in Features and Plugs, default should be ticked.

Did a recheck and looked in that section…its already checked.

@pologoalie8908,

This could be a bug.

@Ilia any idea what might be causing this?

@pologoalie8908,

I think it’s a “display” bug, whereby it gets hidden from the “Edit Virtual Server” form once you disable it. That is, the page isn’t properly showing it as IT IS enabled at the “Features” level, so it should remain an option on the page. That’s why I pinged @Ilia who is most likely the one who will fix it, as it could be at the theme level as well.

Here’s your trophy.

*** Even if turns out it’s not a bug ***
*** Participation prize, heh heh ***

@Ilia will look into it, just give him a moment, he’s quite busy and on the other side of the world.

Thank you (for the update on investigating AND for the trophy)

Try disable as default, that works with Apache ssl to display.

Just tried…no change

It’s expected that you cannot disable “Administration user” and “Home directory” since they are essential features.

I think stefan1959 was saying to mark the Mail for Domain as unchecked(not default) to have the option show up when i go to edit the server that had email disabled.
