Hi,
I expect this is a known issue, but cannot find a resolution.
My users cannot send mail because Postfix and SASL auth are not playing nice.
O/S - Ubuntu 7.04
Error from logs:
Nov 28 10:12:41 platypus postfix/smtpd[32146]: warning: pppxxx-xx.static.internode.on.net[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]: SASL PLAIN authentication failed: generic failure
Nov 28 10:13:38 platypus postfix/smtpd[19922]: warning: SASL authentication failure: cannot connect to saslauthd server: No such file or directory
Nov 28 10:13:38 platypus postfix/smtpd[19922]: warning: SASL authentication failure: Password verification failed
Any suggestion as to how to fix this would be appreciated. I have dome very distressed users.
Thanks,
Neill
