Cannot connect to Virtualmin AFTER updating

I just did an update on Virtualmin it was out of date for a while – the updates installed everything except some mail packages clam and failtoban - everything else looked good but I get a fail to connect to Virtualmin. I wait half an hour I am able to open the basic shel but then it times out again. The websites are running but Virtualmin is not working correctly. Any ideas - I have command line access.

Check if the webmin service is running (the same way you’d check any other service, systemctl status webmin). If it isn’t, try starting it. If it doesn’t start, look at the logs to find out why.
