Bandwidth Usage - By Month is kinky

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version RHEL 9
Webmin version 2.101
Virtualmin version 7.7

Virtualmin , System Settings, Bandwidth Monitoring, Show Usage Graphs, By month.

The dates in the left column labelled Month are weird and the data is missing for February to June inclusive. I was wondering if it was because today is 31st and some months don’t go that far but March and May do have 31 days.

When you set it up did you select “monthly”
Never quite understood why when you do select anything other than “latest” that the number of days does not change. what does “yearly” 30 days mean? or “weekly” 30 days mean or even do?

I just changed from Last 30 days to Monthly and recalculated from January but nothing changed.

The “30 days” goes blank when I select anything other than “Last”

Set to Weekly then viewing the graph, select By Date, it only shows the last 7 days. Set to monthly it’s the last month of days etc.

Set to Yearly for me only shows data going back 22/07/23. it shows 0 bytes for all days back to 01/01/23

Do you still have the logs for past months or were deleted by logrotate?

Interesting! It didn’t for me - I think I will put that up as a new topic

First ask OP if has logs older than 30 days…
If not, how the system should know what happened before 30 days?

The 30 days refers to a setting label, vs Weekly, Monthly or Annual. The number of days is a choice.

The system has been up continuously since December, hence the data going back to December - apart from the gap showing in the middle.
