Well, you shouldn’t use Virtualmin (or any other product for that matter) just because me or anyone else can deliver a good sales pitch – you should use it because it solves your needs better than the alternatives.
What I’d recommend doing is downloading the free GPL version, and giving it a shot – hopefully seeing it in action will alleviate any concerns you have
That said, Virtualmin just made a huge website change, from a Joomla-based site to this Drupal-based one. There’s a handful of issues here and there that still need to be cleaned up… such as the link you found!
I’ll take a look at the download page and get that fixed up.
Thanks, but I’ve seen the comparisons and I want the features of the paid version. If I decide to use your product instead of Ispconfig, that’s what I’ll get.
I kind of still have a bad taste in my mouth because I was not able to get Virtualmin Pro at half-price because I missed the deal you had by less than a day because I was sick. I e-mailed your company but received no reply. Also, I cannot find a lot of reviews on Virtualmin Pro, or comparisons of Virtualmin Pro vs. Ispconfig.
I’m just an end-user. Before I bought virtualmin pro, I have used several other cpanels including ispconfig.
I made the right decision buying VMPro.
The stormy weathers around this website (and the transition recently and some other stuff in webhostingland) has little to do with the software. This site and the software is a 3 man show and for such small team, great things are happening.
I would appreciate it if someone could suggest a good server control panel. I have about 10 or 11 web sites.
I’m presently using Ensim Pro 10, but it’s being discontinued.
I’ve used ISPconfig in the past. However, it appears that they might be in transition from version 2 to version 3, and version 3 might not work right on my CentOS 5.3 OS.
I’ve used the free versions of usermin and webmin. Not what I want.
Virtualmin GPL does not support templates, and I think that might save us time.
I would appreciate it if someone could suggest a good server control panel
You’re in the virtualmin forums, what do you think would be a good control panel?
