Backups not finishing

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Debian 10
Webmin version 2.021
Virtualmin version 7.5 Pro

Hi all,

I have 2 instances of VM running on 2 separate servers. They have identical scheduled backup settings. It backs up to a remote FTP.

However one of them refuses to either do the backup or finish it, not sure which.
Running it manually, it gets to the 3rd or so Virtual Server and no longer outputs any logging.

There is nothing at all in /virtual-server/backuplogs
There are files in backuplocks - which I have manually cleared and tried running again but it’s the same issue.

Not sure where to go from here?

Bump.
I have tried searching for similar issues but not seen any in the forums or archives

You’re backing up to FTP?

It’s probably timing out. I don’t know anybody that even uses FTP anymore, but that’s probably it. What you might try doing is a smaller manual backup of only a few directories. If that works fine, then it’s definitely timing out.

I have users that are in different parts of the world that refer to virtualmin as FTP… simply as they can upload/edit files via the file manager as you would with ftp … but of course I totally have the wrong end of what the op is talking about … I’m sure you’ll fix it

Disk space where the temp file is being put together would be my guess. If it is on / then you could be running out of space to log.
