I have been looking at stats for sites on my server and have noticed that the server is actually accessing the site numerous times. The IP of the server is listed as a visitor. It shows, for example, 579 pages, 579 hits, and 0 bandwidth. Now, I had another server with awstats running, and I never saw the server actually showing up as a visitor. Is this supposed to happen?
K, two more questions.
I found where I can automatically have awstats password protected when the virtual server is created. Very good. But, the other domains are not protected. Is there a way to update the other domains?
Also, I want to have the cron job update the stats hourly. The default is once a day. So I have to go in and change that setting. Not a big deal, but is there a way to change the default to hourly?
