I tried to reinstall virtualmin on Alma10, the first time it gave me this failure

the second time I re-launched the installation script and it worked.

We’ve been doing some testing on EL 10, and we’re aware of several issues. Turns out it’s not as simple as I’d been led to believe.

There are some missing packages from the EPEL repos, and RPM has changed the way it handles path-based Requires. We’ll be rolling new module packages to fix the latter problem. I’m not sure what we’re going to do about EPEL missing packages (at least etckeeper and awstats, and maybe others).

So, maybe I’m less enthusiastic about suggesting EL10 until we’re able to solve those problems. The modules will be fixed this weekend. Everything else, I’m not sure. There’s a bug in the EPEL bugzilla about etckeeper, but it hasn’t been followed up on for some time, so I don’t know the state of it. We may have to maintain our own package for that, which would suck.

My idea would be to try to use it only as a secondary dns, if I see that it gives problems I will set up an alma9 but being like this I will try and I will tell you… :wink:

That the only missing packages I have seen are greylist/postgrey and mailrate

I don’t know what that is, but it’s not something Virtualmin needs.

I’ll look into greylist and postgrey. We didn’t get that far, as we found earlier problems.

Virtualmin → Email settings → Mail rate limiting

Now its working Alma10 is it working as a secondary dns server with virtualmin GPL linked with my PRO, curiously, it worked the first time, something that had always given me a lot of problems, we are moving forward.
