After changing domain name in server configuration links are not updated.

Hi, i have a test domain name that i want to be the main domain name. So i went to virtualmin–>server configuration–>change domain.

I then changed dns to the old domain name. Some arrows were missing(no big deal), homepage was fine but when i wanted to click on links it redirects me to the test domain name. Same goes for admin dashboard. When i go to admin dashboard i am still on the test domain name.

I am thinking that it might be the following that causes this problem:

  • i am using a cache plugin called wordpress fast cache
  • htacces
    -incorrect site url

Hope someone can get me in the right direction

I got it working. The problem was that i did not make the change in wordpress dashboard:
in Settings->General screen in a single site installation of WordPress, there are two fields named “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)”. I changed those 2 fields and then emptied cache and all is working fine now.
